The Ancient Red Deer Herds Face Destruction
The time honoured and sucessful system of deer management has preserved the finest herds of red deer in Europe. A ban on hunting would withdraw the protection given to the deer by hunting farmers, their neighbours, and the organisation of the hunt. A ban would also end the Hunts' emergency service for casualty deer - those injured by cars, caught in wire or deer who have been badly shot and left.
