Hill Farming in Crisis

At a time when farm incomes have already dropped by nearly 70% (NFU 30/11/98) a ban on hunting would deepen the crisis. Many Exmoor farmers now earn money by providing fodder, straw and feed to the hunting industry. Many farmers breed horses to be sold for hunting. Farmers now depend on the Hunts' service of taking away dead animals and putting down casualties. All this would disappear.
